Laptop repair cost in Bangalore
Search this question and you get a dozen national price tables that disagree with each other by two or three times. They disagree because the price is set by your exact model and the exact fault, not by the words "screen" or "motherboard". This guide explains what actually moves each price so you can judge any quote you are given, including ours.

Two rules cover most of it. Parts jobs (screen, battery, keyboard, hinge, SSD, RAM, fan) are priced by the part your model takes, plus fitting: a range can be given honestly. Fault jobs (motherboard, liquid damage, GPU, charging circuit, data recovery) are priced by what failed, so any number quoted before a diagnosis is a guess. That is why every Bengaluru workshop, including us, quotes those after a free check.
Size, resolution, panel type, refresh rate, touch, part grade and availability.
Capacity in Wh, internal or removable, original-grade or compatible, warranty offered.
Standalone keyboard or one riveted into the palmrest; backlit or not; layout availability.
Hinge only, or a torn mount needing a cover or a rebuild; one hinge or both.
Capacity, SATA or NVMe, brand tier, cloning your data or a clean install.
DDR generation and size; whether the RAM is soldered and cannot be upgraded at all.
Clean and re-paste, fan replacement, or the whole heatsink assembly; single or dual fan.
Plug-in jack, board-soldered jack, or USB-C; whether the charging IC also failed.
Priced by fault: charging IC, power section, short, BIOS, liquid damage, GPU. Diagnosed free first.
Logical, failing drive, mechanical or SSD controller failure. Clean-room cases are referred and quoted by the lab.

Why two shops quote you differently for the "same" repair
Three legitimate reasons, and one that is not. Legitimate: the part grade (an original-grade panel and a budget compatible panel are different products); what the price includes (part only, part plus fitting, plus GST, plus warranty); and what they found (a screen job that also needs a cable is not the same job). Not legitimate: a low headline price that grows once the laptop is opened. Ask any workshop for one written price covering parts and labour before work starts, and ask what the warranty is. We put both on the quote.
What "free diagnosis" should mean
At a workshop it should mean you can bring the laptop in, have the fault identified and be told the price, at no cost, with no obligation to proceed. Doorstep and platform services in Bengaluru commonly charge a visit or inspection fee, often adjusted against the repair if you go ahead. Ask which applies before booking. Where official service centres fit
For a laptop still in warranty, the authorised centre is the right first stop; use it. Out of warranty, the difference is structural rather than a matter of trust: authorised centres replace assemblies (a board, a display assembly) because that is their process, while an independent workshop can repair the component that failed. On board faults that difference is large. On simple parts jobs it is smaller, and sometimes the official part is worth the premium.

- Out of warranty, parts job: compare the part grade, not just the price.
- Out of warranty, board fault: a component-level repair is usually a fraction of a board replacement.

- Is the diagnosis free, and is there any charge if I decline the repair?
- Will I get one written price covering parts, labour and GST before work starts?
- Which part grade are you fitting, and what warranty comes with the part and the labour?
- What happens to my data, and can you back it up first?

How much does laptop repair cost in Bangalore?
Parts jobs sit in a range that depends on your model; fault jobs are priced after a diagnosis. The published national tables you have probably read differ from Bengaluru workshop prices by a wide margin in both directions, which is why we quote per laptop rather than per keyword.
Is laptop repair cheaper than replacing the laptop?
