Charging port and power repair
A loose jack, a worn USB-C port or a failed charging circuit all look the same from outside: the laptop will not charge. We test the charger first, then the port, then the circuit, so you pay for the actual fault.

Quick answer
If charging works only when the plug is held at an angle, the jack or port is worn: a mechanical repair. If the charger is fine but nothing happens, the charging circuit on the board has failed: a component repair. If the charger light goes off when plugged in, there is a short. All three are done here, and a new battery fixes none of them.

Before you decide
Is it the charger, the port or the board? Do you test the adapter first?
Yes, always. A surprising number of "port" problems are a tired adapter. Then the port, then the circuit. You only pay for what is actually wrong.
My laptop is not turning on at all. Could it be the charging circuit?
Often. If the battery is empty and the charging circuit has failed, the laptop is completely dead. The check is free and quick.
Can a USB-C charging port be repaired?
Yes. USB-C ports are soldered to the board and replaced with the right tools; the power-delivery controller is a separate component we can also replace.
